Located in Shanghai’s historic Xintiandi area, the newly launched 6,000 sqf office of The Executive Centre (TEC), one of Asia’s leading serviced office providers, is a fresh and unique inspiration of Western and Chinese architectural and decorative elements. Occupying the entire top floor of a modern, five-storey office building, the property was taken over in an “as is condition”, which meant all existing fixtures and fittings were stripped back to bare shell and a total new fit out was implemented.

Established in 1994, TEC has 21 locations in ten major cities worldwide and, on average, is currently rolling out a new centre in the high growth market of Shanghai every nine months. Paul Salnikow, CEO, TEC, says whereas the company chose “very corporate, financial-style”, glass tower office buildings for its first two centres in Shanghai, it wanted something a little “funkier” for its third location, as it felt the market had become “sophisticated” enough that clients no longer needed a strictly Grade A office tower location. Salnikow says the idea was to offer clients something slightly more “innovative”, and adds that although the Xintiandi area is still an office location, there is a heavy emphasis on F&B, entertainment and retailing.
