Swiss Asia was founded by Thomas Schurch in 2001. After establishing a head office in Switzerland, Schurch went on to establish branches in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Seoul. The Seoul Office was the first of these locations, and he launched it with the help of a Virtual Office at The Executive Centre.
As Schurch recalls, initially, it was not in our financial capabilities to become an in-house client at TEC although we increased revenue steadily. The comprehensive service provided by the TEC virtual office enabled us to save further office costs even after being well established. Our employees comfortably could work from home since our services (assessments and trainings) are usually executed at customer premises.
For a decade, Swiss Asia provided company assessment planning and employee training in the Asia Pacific, annually growing its revenue, adding employees, and emerging as one of the most recognized European Assessment and Training firms in Asia. Swiss-ASIA became the exclusive Assessment-Consulting firm for UNESCO, when UNESCO needed to assess new Top Management personnel for its Korea, Japan, and China branches, and it also became the exclusive partner of EUCCK (European Chamber of Commerce in Korea) for executing HR Round-Tables with CEOs and HR Directors.

In January 2010, a new chapter began in the Swiss Asia story. Schurch sold the company after a decade to the large training and assessment firm, PE-Solution.
